anyone who have tipps ? how too build a engine who will work good ca 80-100ps i have a dellorto turbocarburettor (40x40) but wonder witch size turbo to use..

Am die Dänischer seite Bilgalleri wirdst Du viele umgebauten 1,2 Turbo Kadett C finden. Die meisten verwenden einer Turbo von einer diesel, z.B. Nissan Patrol oder so. Normalerweise sagt mann dass einer turbo aus einer diesel soll von einer Motor mit dobbel zu gross Hubraum kommen, dass heisst einer 2,4 TD turbo für einer 1,2 Kadett motor...

Hier einer der "besten" : Kadett C 1,2i Turbo headbanger

Kadett C 1,2s mit bearbeiten z.K., modificierte 2,0E / Fiat Uno Turbo einspritzung und satte 158 ps...

... and with that kind of inlet manifold there's plenty of room for improvement. I've heard that the owner later increased the boost and achieved about 170 hp on the engine...!! But with 158 hp he was already running 1,4 boost....

i would guess this is not road-approved. but if the engine was dyno-tested with a low boost it wouldnt be more than a gte-kadett and then it would be no problem getting this approved with gte-brakes etc.

Hello.
No, we have no annual TÜV in Denmark, only every other year. The only way to get this kind of engine streetlegal is as kammiz explains; to get it approved with a dynotest that shows that the brakes are approved to the effect of the engine. Most people use Rekord vented 246mm discs and drums at rear, this allows for 150 hp. The 1,9 CIH brakes easilly gets approved for a 1,2 turbo'ed engine with carburettor as they seldom have more than 100 hp.
I don't know much more about the injected turbokadett other that it's running an intercooler and domeshaped chambers in the cylinderhead. I actually can't remember if the pistons are forged ore standard 1,2n items.

This one runs with a 1,2n engine, 1,5mm copper headgasket, Volvo turbo-carburettor (from a 244?), 285 camshaft and oilcooled pistons. Output about 100-110 hp.

the original carburettor wont cope with the pressures would it? in that case it would have to run on very low boost. might be a carburettor from a fiat or something?

please let ut know if you find pics of ohv in kadett e or corsa a .. that would be fun. tongue

And here a turbo'ed C-Kadett formerly owned by a friend of mine... 1,2n from a Corsa with 0,8mm steel headgasket surrounded by two normal headgaskets.. main jet in carburettor drilled bigger, Pajero turbo, Volvo 240 intercooler, 100+ hp.

I guess the guys that use a carburettor don't use very much pressure... and they do only normally get around 100 hp, which is nice though... but there's much more potential in the OHV ;). But it's a fairly easy engine-mod which makes the car a lot more fun for small money.

as i told you in my PN, i am building a double carburettor 1200s, 4-2-1 exhaustmanifold and lexmaul inlet manifold for the double carburettor. i am also going to do som mods to the cam ++ to make the engine more RPM-friendly.. tongue hoping for 80-90hp ??? tongue

by double carburettor i dont mean 2 carburettors, but 1 twin-weber
