  I need some 11S information!

First of all, my german language skills are pretty poor but i hope you won't get too mad at me for typing in english

After a little accident last week the engine in my Kadett C broke down, it was a 12S but since I want to get out on the roads soon again the engine swap to a C20NE will have to wait a little longer..

BUT! I did have an old 11S engine laying around so I pulled it back home to the garage. Well there I thought, why not put the best parts of these two engines together! And that means the 12S head (1mm larger inlet valves) the 12S carburator, I think the 11S uses the 30 PDSI carb, right? And then possibly the 12S camshaft, however (and here's the real question) Is there any difference between these two cams?

I hope to get about the same power out of the 11S engine that the 12S engine had. Do you think that is possible with a little "tuned" headports, especially the exhaust side, and a higer compressionratio? The 11S has 8,5:1 right? I thought I'd run 10:1 or even 10,5:1!

Also, another 35PDSI carb shouldn't be a problem to find, but how much can I gain by running two 35 PDSI carbs on this engine? I also guess I'll have to change jets if I do this, does anyone have any idea of wich jets would be good? Everything over 60PS is a bonus, but more power = more fun so ;)

It does!? That's good news Now I only have to figure out which jets I should use ;)

But what about the cam? Is it the same as the 12S cam or isn't it? That's the only thing I need to know now

But are you running two carbs?Since the 11S and 12S uses the same type of carbs I was thinking maybe I'd weld a new intake and build a 11SR copy! :D But should I run the same jets as in the 12S carb for example? Thats sounds like an awful lot of fuel for a pretty small engine! :S

While were on that subject, does anyone know which jets the 11SR uses? That would help alot I've read through the forums a bit and it looks like the 11S, 11SR and 12S uses the same cam so..

no I#m running 1 carburator...

if you rebuild a 11SR, you need 2 carbs, with different jets like the jets from one carb of a 12S...

yup, I'm from sweden ;) But not smaland, I'm from the northern part of my loong country (Skelleftea, it's about 100 miles north of stockholm) :D Hope you'll have a nice holiday and that the weather holds up! It's been raining down south for most of the summer unfortunatly..

if you want to use two solex carbs, it's like thze 1,1SR engine.
look at this list to get the right jets for the carbs:
