Hi everyone,

My Name is: Cyriel Gaemers From Amsterdam (netherlands) and i do have a big problem.

My car does drive GOOD! but my 'BATTERY' does not charge when i drive!

So i can drive 60 KM and then the battery died.

I can charge it with the battery charger but i want to fixa this problem.


CAN ANYONE HELP ME? FOR A COMPLETE NEW OR SECOND HAND: 'KABELBAUM' ?

Kabel LOOM (english)

Second i don't speak dutch , because i'm german.

You can try to contact Gert Bijvank
he is from "Holland" . Just try the PM function .

I don't know if it's necessary to replace "Kabel LOOM " the solve your problem, first try to locate what is broken.

Check if the all the cables and connectors between the "ALTERNATOR"
the "The Voltage Regulator" , the battery are okay . Check for all
big cable to ground "Massebänder" .

Then check if the voltage regulator are working , also the alternator
himself.

If you don't know what i'm talking about, try a "dwergstaat"
= KFZ - Werkstatt

It just came back from the garage and the owner said:

The cables are a big mess (inside of the car) Its better to get a whole new (or second hand) cable loom! and start from there.

But i tought... MMM i dont like that thats a hell of a job.

The car is running and good!! but only the battery won't charge. So this weekend i'm gonna messure the altonator and The Voltage Regulator.

then go farther.

normally this problem is easy to locate.

if theres a alternator with 3 phases its almost easy. you only have one cable from the ALT to the battery. its the thick cable coming auf of the ALT.

the other (little) one is for the energising current supplied by the cable coming out of the dashboard with the Charging-Control Bulb between.

If Ignition is in ON position this cable must supply the ALT with the energising current. you can messure this.

On the other side the ground cable between the frame an the engine has to be in good condition and also the ground cable between body and battery...


if the controller for batterycharging is outside of the ALT I can´t help you.

The car is for 5 days @ the garage. The cableloom specialist is gonna fix all the problems!
